Travellers from the UAE will soon be able to enter Singapore without a mandatory quarantine.
According to a notice on Singapore’s Immigration and Checkpoint Authority, fully vaccinated tourists from the UAE will be able to visit the island city from December 6 without quarantine.
All World Health Organisation (WHO) recognised vaccines, including Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna, Astrazeneca, Covishield, Janssen, Sinopharm, Sinovac, and Covaxin, (with unique interval periods between the two jabs), are all accepted by Singapore.
Proof of vaccination is required to enter the country, with the locally used Al Hosn app to be allowed for entry. Conversely, Singapore’s ‘TraceTogether’ or ‘HealthHub’ are both usable for visiting the country.
Travellers are also required to apply for a short or long term visitor pass. For travellers from the UAE, the application for the permit will open on November 29.
PCR testing is also a prerequisite for travelling to Singapore.
A PCR test must be taken two days prior to the date of travel, while the second test must be taken upon arrival at the airport.
Travellers from Qatar, Saudi Arabia and India will also be able to visit Singapore from December 6 as the country resumes tourism.
