Several parts of the UAE experienced moderate to heavy rain on Friday, with the weather bureau issuing a warning about poor visibility over some eastern areas.
On Twitter, the National Centre for Meteorology (NCM) reported heavy to moderate rainfall in Sharjah and Dubai.

The NCM also warned that visibility levels could be less than 1,000 metres due to blowing dust and sand.
