Indian batsman Shikhar Dhawan has been ruled out of the remainder of the ICC Cricket World Cup due to a broken finger.
The 33-year-old injured his left thumb during the league match with Australia on June 9, and then missed the next two group games against New Zealand and Pakistan.
Wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant has been named as Dhawan’s replacement.
21-year-old Pant had scored impressive centuries during the Test tours of England and Australia. He also enjoyed a good run in the Indian Premier League (IPL) last month.
