Desert camp shut down in Dubai for violating COVID-19 rules

A desert camp has been shut down in Dubai for hosting a private gathering which violated COVID-19 precautionary measures.

Dubai Police, in cooperation with Dubai Tourism, took action against the camp operator as well as those who attended the event.

The operator was fined AED 50,000, while each participant was fined AED 15,000.
