Authorities in Dubai will be keeping a close watch on health and safety standards in food outlets during Ramadan.
The municipality is stepping up inspections in restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, warehouses and public markets.
The checks are mainly focused on the preparation, storage, transportation and display of food items.
Inspectors will also monitor the quality and sourcing of meat and ensure staff at food outlets are complying with personal hygiene standards.
Customers can submit complaints and feedback around the clock via the municipality's call centre 800900.
As the holy month of #Ramadan approaches, we are intensifying inspection campaigns and conducting visits to food establishments, to ensure food security standards are met, maintaining everyone’s safety during the holy month.#DubaiMoreLiveable #DubaiMunicipality pic.twitter.com/tfkC76T8NX
