Due to severe weather conditions and heavy flooding in Auckland, a number of flights operated by Emirates Airline have been disrupted.
"Flight EK448 from Dubai to Auckland on 29 January 2023 has been cancelled," Emirates said in an advisory on its website.
"However, flight EK449 from Auckland to Dubai on both 29 and 30 January 2023 are unaffected and are planned to operate according to schedule," it added.
The airline had earlier confirmed that flight EK448 from Dubai to Auckland on January 27 was forced to return to Dubai after heavy flooding led to the closure of Auckland Airport. The affected flight was rescheduled to depart on January 29 as EK8448.
Meanwhile, flight EK449 from Auckland to Dubai on January 28 was cancelled, while EK 448 from Dubai to Auckland on January 28 was delayed.
The airline has advised customers to check the status of their flights on its website while passengers impacted due to cancellations are advised to contact their travel agents or Emirates Call centres for rebooking options.
International arrivals resumed at Auckland Airport on Sunday morning after a turbulent 48 hours when the airport was left completely flooded on Friday and into Saturday.
