His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, has expressed his condolences to the families of the victims of Iran’s attacks targeting the UAE.
Those killed included nationals from Palestine, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal.
They were named as Alaa Nader Awni from Palestine, Murib Zaman Nizar, Muzaffar Ali Ghulam and Ismail Salim Khan from Pakistan, Ahmed Ali from Bangladesh, and Dibas Shrestha from Nepal.
Sheikh Abdullah also wished a full and speedy recovery to those injured.
His Highness extended his condolences to the governments and people of the affected countries, reaffirming the UAE’s commitment to the safety of all citizens, residents and visitors.
He condemned what he described as continued Iranian missile and drone attacks, which he said had lasted for 18 consecutive days and involved more than 2,000 projectiles targeting civilian infrastructure, including airports and residential areas.
The minister said the escalation represented a violation of the UAE’s sovereignty and a threat to regional and international security.
He added that the UAE “reserves its full right” to take necessary measures to protect its security and territorial integrity, in line with international law.
Sheikh Abdullah said the country remains on high alert, with authorities prepared to respond to any threats, and stressed that the overall security situation in the UAE remains stable.
He also noted expressions of support from more than 130 countries, which he said reflected international confidence in the UAE’s role in promoting stability and security.
