H.H. Sheikh Mohamed holds talks with Japanese PM

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, held talks with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida on Tuesday.

During the phone call, the two leaders discussed a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest, especially the latest developments in Ukraine.

They emphasised the importance of international action to resolve the crisis diplomatically and provide assistance to affected civilians.

Sheikh Mohamed also stressed the UAE's keenness to maintain global energy security amid recent developments as well as his desire to strengthen relations with Japan, especially energy ties.

The Japanese Prime Minister expressed happiness at the close ties between his country and the UAE and stated Tokyo’s interest in further strengthening these relations.
