Shopping malls, cinemas and entertainment venues in Sharjah will now operate at 80 per cent of their capacity.

Sixty per cent is the new capacity limit for wedding halls but the number of attendees must not exceed 300.

Attendance at all events will be limited to vaccinated people and participants in clinical trials.

They must also present a negative PCR test result taken 48 hours before the event, with the letter E or star showing on the Al Hosn app.

Sharjah's Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management team said the protocols have been revised in line with the UAE's strategy to ensure a safe return to normal life.

The latest changes are applicable to establishments licensed by the Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD).
