The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) said on Sunday it had, in coordination with the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA), facilitated the return of around 500 UAE Golden Visa holders and residents whose travel had been disrupted by regional tensions and aviation restrictions.
The group was able to return to the country through air and land entry points after earlier delays caused by airspace closures and wider disruption to international flights.
Officials said the operation was part of coordinated efforts to ensure the safety and wellbeing of people living in the UAE during the ongoing regional developments.

Authorities said they had been monitoring the situation from the outset and had taken precautionary measures and contingency planning to respond to travel disruptions. This included close coordination with UAE government entities, diplomatic missions abroad and relevant international authorities.
MoFA and NCEMA said the efforts reflect the country’s approach of prioritising the welfare of residents and citizens.
They added that ensuring the safety and security of citizens, residents and visitors remains a top priority, and said the operation demonstrated the UAE’s ability to respond quickly to regional challenges through coordinated government action.
