170 Abu Dhabi motorists fined for littering

Abu Dhabi Police are cracking down on irresponsible motorists who throw trash on the streets and in public spaces.

As many as 170 drivers in the emirate have been fined for littering during the first half of this year.

The violation is punishable with a AED 1,000 fine and six black points.

The police are reminding residents to keep the environment clean and to dispose off trash in designated places.
