Dubai has announced road closures in the Burj Khalifa area on New Year's Eve, advising those celebrating to arrive early.
The following roads will be closed from 4:00 p.m. on December 31:
- Al Asayel Street
- Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard
- Burj Khalifa Street
- Financial Centre Street, Lower Deck
- Al Mustaqbal Street
The following streets will be closed from 8:00 p.m. on December 31:
- Al Sukook Street
- Financial Centre Street, Upper Deck
Sheikh Zayed Road will gradually close from 11:00 p.m. between the intersections of Al Meydan Street and the Trade Centre Roundabout.
Dubai’s water canal lifts and pedestrian bridges in Jumeirah al-Safa, and Business Bay areas will be closed.
The Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall metro station will close at 5:00 p.m. or if passenger numbers exceed its capacity beforehand.
Authorities have advised individuals to use metro stations with available parking, including Jebel Ali, Etisalat by e&, Centrepoint, and Jumeirah Golf Estates.
Alternative parking is available in Al-Wasl Club and the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs.
Authorities warned against parking on either side of Al-Khail Road or Sheikh Zayed Road.
