His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai has congratulated Algeria's footballers for winning the African Cup of Nations.
They beat Senegal 1-0 in Cairo on Friday night to win the tournament for only the second time.
Sheikh Mohammed said on his official Twitter account that the win was a proud moment for the entire Arab world.
Baghdad Bounedjah scored a fortuitous goal in the second minute of the match to secure the win.
His shot deflected off a defender and floated over goalkeeper Alfred Gomes, who could only watch helplessly as the ball made its way in to the back of the net.
