The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) issued weather warnings for parts of Abu Dhabi and Dubai on Friday.
Drivers travelling on the Dubai Al Ain Road or around Jebal Ali Port are being warned about limited visibility due to the fog.
Abu Dhabi and Al Ain could be worst affected, and those traveling between emirates approaching Ghantoot have been advised to take care on the roads and follow the electronic information boards for speed reductions.
NCM said on social media that the fog is expected to clear by around 9:00 am.
