His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, is to begin an official visit to Norway on Sunday.
During the visit, His Highness will meet His Royal Highness Haakon Magnus, Crown Prince of Norway, and Jonas Gahr Støre, Prime Minister of Norway, to explore advancing collaboration across new, developing and high-growth sectors that benefit both countries and their people.
Diplomatic relations between the UAE and Norway began in 1974. The number of Norwegian companies in the UAE is about 150 companies in various sectors, mainly in oil and gas, maritime transport and advanced technology. The two countries also have a memorandum on mutual visa exemption for passports, and there have been direct daily flights for Emirates Airlines since September 2014.
