The UAE's President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, on Thursday.
The meeting in Abu Dhabi focused on various aspects of cooperation between the UAE and the EU.
Sheikh Mohamed and von der Leyen exchanged views on a number of regional and international developments, and also discussed the upcoming COP28 climate conference to be hosted by the UAE.
They emphasised the importance of strengthening international collaboration to find effective solutions to global challenges, including advancing climate action efforts and realising sustainable development objectives.
