H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has extended his "warmest wishes" to those celebrating Diwali, the Indian festival of lights, wishing everyone "peace, safety and prosperity".

In a post on social media, Sheikh Mohammed wrote: "Warmest wishes and greetings to those celebrating Diwali in the UAE and around the world. May this festival of lights bring peace, safety, and prosperity to you and your loved ones. Happy Diwali!"

Diwali is known as the festival of lights in India. It symbolises the spiritual victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance.
