Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced plans to construct a new two-lane bridge in Nad Al Sheba, aimed at improving traffic flow and reducing congestion for residents in the area.
Spanning approximately 700 metres, the bridge will directly connect inbound traffic from Dubai-Al Ain Road to Nad Al Sheba, cutting travel time from six minutes to just one.
With a design capacity of 2,600 vehicles per hour, the bridge is expected to serve around 30,000 residents and significantly ease congestion at entry and exit points in the neighbourhood.
Construction is set to begin in the fourth quarter of 2025, with completion expected by the end of 2026. The project forms part of the RTA’s wider strategy to enhance road infrastructure and mobility across Dubai in line with the city's rapid urban growth.

The RTA also recently inaugurated a 170-metre bridge at the intersection of Nad Al Sheba Street and Dubai-Al Ain Road, improving access to nearby areas including Meydan.
Additional upgrades include enhanced traffic flow around key schools with additional parking spaces and designated pick-up and drop-off areas, in addition to the conversion of intersections to roundabouts, which have already led to a 50-60 per cent reduction in delays and travel times.
