The UAE and Uganda have signed six key agreements as Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, started his working visit to the country.
During a meeting with Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, Sheikh Abdullah discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation, particularly in the economic, commercial, investment and energy sectors.
Sheikh Abdullah also emphasised the strength of the UAE’s distinguished relations with Uganda and the UAE's commitment to advancing sustainable development partnerships with African countries.
Following the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah and the Ugandan leader witnessed the signing of six Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) covering investment, energy cooperation, visa exemptions, digital transformation, cybersecurity, and rail development.
On Wednesday, Sheikh Abdullah was in Malawi to witness the signing of five MoUs across various sectors.
