The Dubai Civil Defence confirmed that one person died after sustaining injuries in a fire that struck a building in Karama in the early hours of Wednesday.
Three others are undergoing treatment in hospital for moderate injuries.
The Civil Defence Operation Centre was notified about the fire at 12:17 am on Wednesday and firefighters reached the scene within three minutes.
The blaze was brought under control at 12:40 am and cooling operations began at 01:02 am.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
