The much-awaited Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) kicked-off with a spectacular Burj Khalifa laser show on Thursday night.
The opening ceremony was attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation.
A stunning fireworks display and a special song for the 25th edition of the shopping fest followed the celebrations, with Cheb Khaled, Sherine Abdel Wahab and Emirati star Hussain Al Jassmi taking to the stage at Burj Park.
At 9:00 pm, special fireworks lit up the skies at The Beach, Al Seef, La Mer, Dubai Festival City Mall and Dubai Creek.

The two-day celebrations will feature magnificent light shows and concerts.
On Friday, Dubai Opera will host a hologram show featuring the late Egyptian singer Umm Kalthoum, while Former One Direction star Liam Payne and singer-songwriter Jorja Smith will put up a special performance.
This season, DSF promises discounts of up to 75 per cent on more than 1,000 brands across 4,000 stores.
