The UAE has announced 342 new cases of COVID-19, taking the overall tally in the country to 42,636.
According to Dr. Amna Al Dahak, the official spokesperson for the UAE Government, this comes after more than 27,000 coronavirus tests were carried out nationwide.
She also confirmed that two more people have died from the virus, bringing the total death toll to 291.
Meanwhile, 667 people have recovered from the virus, making the total number of recoveries 28,129 in the country.
Dr Amna revealed that there are currently 14,216 active cases in the UAE.
