UAE Consulate issues fresh travel advisory to Hong Kong

UAE citizens travelling to Hong Kong have been "advised to be cautious" as anti-government protests in the island nation enters into the sixth month.

"Should there be an emergency, they must contact +852 28661823 or the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation call centre on +971 800 44444," the UAE Consulate in Hong Kong said on Twitter.

They also urged Emirati nationals to "register with the Twajudi Service".

On Monday, a protestor suffered critical injuries after a police officer fired live rounds to disperse the crowds.
