The latest developments in the field of emergencies and disasters management will come up for discussion in Abu Dhabi next month.
The Crisis and Emergency Management Summit (CEMS) will feature experts from around the world who will take a closer look at the challenges facing the sector and integrating new technologies in handling threats.
Topics that will be explored include cross-border risks, preparing the next generation of leaders and promoting community partnerships and volunteering during emergencies.
The UAE's role in strengthening international cooperation during crises will also be highlighted during the two-day event, which is scheduled to take place from May 9-10.
Mariam Yaed Al Qubaisi, the official spokesperson of CEMS, said the summit is being organised by the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) as part of efforts to improve the UAE's emergency response mechanism.
