The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) is stepping up its efforts to provide urgent humanitarian aid to those affected by the recent typhoon in the Philippines.
ERC teams are actively responding to the disaster’s impact, and a comprehensive relief plan has been initiated to support the hardest-hit communities.
This comes following the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the ERC.
The first phase of the relief plan focuses on purchasing essential supplies from local markets and distributing them in collaboration with the UAE Embassy in Manila.
Dr. Hamdan bin Musallam Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the ERC Board of Directors, said that the ERC is continuously assessing the needs of affected individuals to ensure timely and effective support.
He added that this urgent aid reflects the UAE leadership's commitment to a rapid humanitarian response, aiming to facilitate early recovery and meet essential needs.
