The UAE has firmly rejected allegations from the Port Sudan Authority accusing the country of supporting armed groups in Sudan's ongoing civil conflict.
In a statement, the UAE called the claims false, baseless and lacking any evidence - describing them as media distractions aimed at diverting attention from the Port Sudan Authority’s own role in prolonging the war.
The UAE pointed to recent findings by international bodies, including a ruling from the International Court of Justice and a UN Panel of Experts report, both of which found no evidence implicating the UAE.
Emphasising that the Port Sudan Authority does not represent Sudan’s legitimate government, the UAE reiterated its support for a civilian-led political solution and called on the international community to push for an immediate ceasefire and lasting peace in Sudan.
