UAE citizens will be able to travel without visas to Trinidad and Tobago under a new agreement signed between the countries.
Under the visa deal signed by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Sean Sobers, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs of Trinidad and Tobago, UAE citizens holding diplomatic, special, ordinary and “mission” passports are eligible.
Meanwhile, holders of Trinidad and Tobago’s diplomatic and official passports are also exempt from the visa requirement for entry to the UAE.
Sheikh Abdullah also held talks with Kamla Persad-Bissessar, Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, in New York on the sidelines of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly.
The UAE's top diplomat and Persad-Bissessar also discussed bilateral relations and cooperation across economic, trade and investment sectors, in addition to reviewing issues on the UN General Assembly agenda.
Sheikh Abdullah affirmed the UAE's keenness to strengthen ties with Trinidad and Tobago in ways that foster economic cooperation and shared development, contributing to prosperity for both peoples.
