It has been raining across the UAE, as predicted by the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

The centre has issued orange and red alerts for large parts of the country, with warnings of strong winds as well as rough seas and blowing dust that could affect visibility in most areas.

It is advising people to be vigilant due to unstable conditions, while motorists are being reminded to keep a safe distance between vehicles, avoid speeding and unnecessary overtaking.

The run of unsettled weather is expected to continue until Monday.

Meanwhile, the roads leading to Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah have been closed as a precautionary measure.

Abu Dhabi Police have shared these driving tips and have urged motorists to follow the varying speed limits displayed on electronic information boards.

Meanwhile, Dubai Media Office announced that the 10-day cultural festival, Shindagha Days, will be closed on Friday due to the prevailing weather conditions.
