UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson visits UAE

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson visited the UAE on Wednesday as part of his wider tour of the region.

He was received in Abu Dhabi by Dr. Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Adviser to UAE President and other senior officials

The leader has scheduled to hold talks with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, before travelling to Saudi Arabia to meet with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, who is also the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the Kingdom.

The leaders are expected to discuss efforts to improve energy security and to look at measures to increase oil production.

According to a statement by the British Embassy, Johnson called the UAE and Saudi Arabia "key international partners".
