On the birthday of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, his teacher Ahmed Mandi recounts some memorable moments.
In a video, posted on Abu Dhabi Media Office's official Twitter handle, the teacher remembers Sheikh Mohamed as a "hardworking student" who was particularly enthusiastic about the morning school assembly.
Mandi shares a rare audio clip of the young Abu Dhabi Crown Prince speaking on such an occasion, and shows some old photographs from his childhood.
He also meets his former student after receiving a surprise call from the palace.
"We shared memories. It was as if the past had never left," Mandi adds.
