An emergency evacuation drill has been held at Burj Khalifa to assess the preparation for New Year celebrations.
A fire on the tower's 112th floor was brought under control within 10 minutes as part of the mock operation carried out by Dubai Civil Defence teams.
Firefighters from Zabeel and Al Ittihad stations arrived within four minutes of receiving the report at 10:00 am and quickly evacuated the site.
Officials said the exercise helped test the readiness of emergency response teams and the efficiency of fire safety systems.
