A critically injured Palestinian child has been airlifted from Gaza to the UAE for urgent medical treatment, as part of the country's ongoing humanitarian mission, Operation Chivalrous Knight 3.
Three-year-old Hatim Awad suffered severe second- and third-degree burns during an airstrike that tragically claimed the lives of his entire family.
Now receiving care at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi, doctors say he is responding well to treatment.
Dr. Abdulqader Almessabi, Chief Medical Officer at the hospital, confirmed that Hatim arrived on June 12 and is under a comprehensive care plan.
The evacuation highlights the UAE’s commitment to supporting vulnerable civilians in Gaza, especially children, by providing advanced medical care and relief aid.
The mission was carried out in coordination with relevant authorities to ensure the child’s safety throughout the journey.
