Authorities in Sharjah have honoured Qasim Mohammed Al Sayed Mahmoud for averting a tragedy and saving two girls from drowning at the Mamzar beach.
The resident was handed a note of appreciation and applauded for his courage and quick response.

Senior officials from the Sharjah Civil Defence Authority visited the two girls who are currently undergoing health checks following the incident.
The authorities have emphasized the importance of enhancing community awareness and following safety rules when going to the beach.
