UAE private sector employees will get an "official paid holiday" on Sunday, January 1, 2023, to ring in the New Year.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) made the announcement on their official Twitter handle.
Since the UAE shifted to the new work week, most employees already get the Saturday-Sunday weekend. However, some companies still follow the old work-week model.
