The UAE is now number one globally when it comes to mass testing for COVID-19 per capita.
That’s according to H.E. Abdulrahman bin Mohammad Al Owais, UAE Minister of Health and Prevention, who said the country has conducted three million COVID-19 tests.
Al Owais noted that the average number of daily tests has climbed from 25,000 to 40,000.
He also praised the public’s commitment and highlighted the country’s leadership’s efforts to curb the spread of the virus, from implementing remote working and distance learning, to gradually reopening establishments while enforcing strict precautionary measures.
