The UAE's Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan has discussed the ongoing developments in the region over telephone calls with some of his international counterparts.
He reviewed the latest situation during phone calls with Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov, Kuwaiti foreign minister Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al Jaber Al Sabah, Israeli foreign minister Eli Cohen and Israel's opposition leader Yair Lapid.
The UAE's top diplomat emphasised the importance of protecting civilians from the consequences of the current crisis.
Sheikh Abdullah also called for urgent action from all active international parties to reduce tensions and prevent further deterioration of the situation.
He stressed the need to exercise the highest levels of wisdom, de-escalate tensions and restore stability in the region.
