The UAE has congratulated Libya and its people after the national unity government headed by Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibeh won the parliament's vote of confidence.
The efforts of the UN Secretary-General's Special Envoy for Libya and the members of the UN Support Mission for Libya (UNSMIL), have also been hailed by the UAE.
Libya's House of Representatives voted 132-2 in favour of Dbeibeh's newly formed government, with 36 members absent.
The vote came after two days of deliberations in the coastal city of Sirte.
It is part of a UN-backed plan to lead the country through elections by the end of the year.
