His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President and Ruler of Abu Dhabi is calling upon the United Nations to save the peace process in Palestine. In a message written to the UN, His Highness also calls for the Israeli violations on the Al Aqsa Mosque to stop, and a return to serious negotiations to end Israeli occupation of all Palestinian territories. He reiterated the consistent position of the UAE in supporting the Palestinian people's rights and the need for full international recognition of an independent and sovereign Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine. His Highness urges the UN and the international community to provide the necessary protection for the Palestinian people to alleviate their suffering from the current Israeli occupation.
