President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and European Council President António Costa emphasised the importance of maintaining the Gaza ceasefire to ensure sustainable delivery of aid during talks in Abu Dhabi.
The two sides underscored the need to intensify international efforts in the Occupied Palestinian territory to promote a clear path towards a just, comprehensive and lasting peace in the region.
Both leaders also affirmed the importance of strengthening diplomacy and dialogue as the means to resolve crises in the region and safeguard security and stability.
Discussions also covered the ongoing negotiations on a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between the UAE and the EU and the significance of such a framework in advancing relations and opening a new chapter of collaboration to support shared development aims.
The meeting took place at Qasr Al Shati during Costa’s working visit to the UAE.
